I am passionate about creating concepts – complete experiences where people can be transported into another place, even just for a night. I love to see a vision in my head and then make it come to life. When I created SeaLegs Wine Bar in Huntington Beach, I wanted to create a classic wine bar by the sea. For SeaSalt Woodfire Grill, it was all about bringing authentic Santa Maria-style barbecue to Huntington Beach. With the concessions in Bolsa Chica – each one has a completely unique concept that caters to a different type of beachgoer. But at all of them, you can enjoy amazing scratch-made food right on the sand with a glass of wine or a beer. That’s really unlike anything that exists right now in Orange County.
Opening six restaurants in one year was certainly something I didn’t plan for, but you have to take these opportunities when they come and you just make it work. I have an amazing team and I couldn’t have done any of this without them. I really believe in surrounding yourself with the best people – together, I believe we can accomplish anything.
